What you need to know

Register via FoodTrader (foodtrader.vic.gov.au). Annual Food Act registration, valid calendar year, paid by 31 December. EHO inspection required for new mobile food businesses. SOT required via FoodTrader at least 1 business day before each event. Trading on Council-controlled land (foreshore reserves, parks) requires a separate local law permit. Foreshore and beach-adjacent trading is tightly managed — some locations are under Crown Land or Parks Victoria jurisdiction, requiring additional approvals. Extremely busy during summer season (Dec–Feb). Covers Torquay, Anglesea, Aireys Inlet, Lorne, Winchelsea areas.
