What you need to know
Register via FoodTrader (foodtrader.vic.gov.au). Annual Food Act registration, valid calendar year, paid by 31 December. EHO inspection required before registration confirmed — EHO contacts within 14 days. Fee invoiced by Council after final inspection is completed; all fees must be paid before commencing operations. SOT required via FoodTrader at least 1 business day before each event. Trading on Council land (parks, roads, foreshore) requires a separate local law approval. Covers Cheltenham, Moorabbin, Mentone, Aspendale, Dingley Village areas. Contact Environmental Health on 9581 4999 for current Class 2/3 fee estimate.
