What you need to know

Register via FoodTrader (foodtrader.vic.gov.au). Annual Food Act registration, valid calendar year, paid by 31 December. EHO inspection required for new mobile food businesses. SOT required via FoodTrader at least 1 business day before each event. To trade on Council land (parks, reserves, foreshore), a separate local law permit from Council is required — foreshore and beach sites are highly restricted; contact Council on 9599 4444 before planning any foreshore trading. Covers Brighton, Sandringham, Hampton, Black Rock, Beaumaris areas. Note: this is Bayside City Council (VIC) — not to be confused with Bayside Council (NSW).
