What you need to know

Register via FoodTrader (foodtrader.vic.gov.au). Annual Food Act registration, valid calendar year, paid by 31 December. EHO inspection required for new mobile food businesses. SOT required via FoodTrader at least 1 business day before each event. Trading on Council land or foreshore reserves requires a separate local law permit; some foreshore areas are Crown Land managed by Parks Victoria or DELWP — check with relevant authority. Cowes (Phillip Island) is extremely busy during MotoGP and Penguin Parade season events. Covers Wonthaggi, Cowes (Phillip Island), Inverloch, San Remo areas.
