What you need to know

FEES (CONFIRMED, 2026-27): New mobile food vehicle — $929.50 plan assessment + $818.50 licence fee = $1,748.00 total. Annual renewal: $818.50, due by 31 August each year. Mobile Retail vehicle (pre-made food only, limited handling): $559 + $554 = $1,113 total. NFP/charity: 50% discount on all fees (proof required). ELIGIBILITY: All food handling/preparation must be contained within the vehicle. Not eligible: hot dog carts, pizza ovens on trailers, vehicles where you stand outside to handle food — apply for temporary food stall instead. NOT REQUIRED if already licensed as a mobile food vehicle elsewhere in QLD. COUNCIL LAND: Additional approval required for itinerant vending or operation on Council-controlled land/roads — contact Council Property unit.
