What you need to know

FEES (CONFIRMED, 2024-25 schedule — confirm 2025-26 before applying): New mobile food vehicle — $440 design assessment + $630 licence = $1,070 total. Annual renewal: $630 (same as application fee). Pro-rata: 50% of annual fee if application received 1 April–30 September. NFP/charities: 50% refund/discount. COUNCIL LAND: Separate approval required under Local Law No. 1 (section 1.3.1 Commercial Use of Local Government Controlled Areas and Roads): $440 application + $590/yr annual renewal for mobile roadside vending. FOOD LICENCE: Mobile food vehicle licensed where vehicle garaged; valid across QLD. LICENCE PERIOD: 1 October–30 September. TRADE WASTE: Mobile food businesses connected to sewer require Urban Utilities trade waste approval. Public Liability Insurance
