What you need to know

APPLICATION FEES (CONFIRMED, July 2025): Food processing vehicle (standard food truck): $863. Vehicle with limited/no food processing (e.g. smoko van, pre-made sausage rolls/pies): $647. ANNUAL LICENCE FEE: Not printed on form — invoiced separately by Council upon final inspection. Contact health@gympie.qld.gov.au or 1300 307 800 for current amount. LICENCE PERIOD: 1 October–30 September. Renewal must be submitted with annual licence fee. If not renewed by 30 September — licence expires and restoration application required by 31 October. COUNCIL LAND: Separate approval required for commercial use of Local Government controlled areas and roads (footpath, roadside, parks). Apply via gympie.qld.gov.au. GAS CERT: Gas compliance certificate required for vehicles with gas appliances. STATEWIDE LICENCE: Once licensed with Gympie (vehicle garaged there), licence valid across QLD.
