FOOD LICENCE FEES (CONFIRMED, 2026-27): Mobile food licence application (fee code 10509) and annual renewal (fee code 10512) are both "Nil*" — eligibility conditions apply (see Council preamble). If ineligible for the Nil rate, the applicable fee equals the application fee + renewal fee from the Licences and Permits Processing section; contact Council on 07 5667 5987 for that amount. In practice, most licensed food businesses qualify for the Nil rate. ROADSIDE VENDING PERMIT (CONFIRMED): $825/yr or Nil* (eligibility conditions apply; fee code 10823) — separate annual approval required for trading on Gold Coast roads or road reserves. Renews 31 August. Apply at goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Services/Report-pay-apply/Permits-licensing/Roadside-vending-permit. EAT SAFE GOLD COAST: Minor regrade assessment $523, major regrade $804, assessment review $523. FOOD LICENCE GENERAL: Required for any food business handling/preparing unpackaged food. Mobile licences valid until 31 August each year and renewed annually. Temporary food licences may be renewed annually (expire 31 August) or issued for a one-off event ($429 or Nil*). DEVELOPMENT APPROVAL: Contact Council on 07 5582 8708 to check if DA required for your intended site and use.
