FEE STRUCTURE (2026-27, confirmed from Tamworth Regional Council online fees search facility — 76 results): ANNUAL FOOD PREMISES ADMINISTRATION FEE (all GST-free, each includes 1 inspection): Category 1 ($690/yr) — fast choices franchises (20+ stores/state or 50+ nationally), supermarket franchises, and premises handling PHF with >15 FTE food handling staff. Category 2 ($490/yr) — PHF at retail level including cooking raw meat, hot/cold display (Bain Maries), restaurants, cafes, hotels with restaurants, sushi bars, bakeries, sandwich shops, takeaway, catering operators. Category 3 ($250/yr) — PHF at low risk level (no hot/cold holding/display, no raw-to-cooked poultry, low complexity): corner stores making sandwiches (not slicing meat), service stations without restaurants, coffee/cake cafes not cooking food, B&Bs, motels without restaurants. INSPECTION FEES (GST-free): Premises used for sale of food (per inspection or per hour or part thereof): $170. Regulated business notification fee (creation/registration): $59.
