FEE STRUCTURE (2026-27, confirmed from Sutherland Shire Council fees schedule): Annual Administration Fee: $100 (GST-free, flat rate — no risk-tier split). Annual EHO Inspection (commercial operation): $210/visit (GST-free). Total effective annual cost for most MFVs: ~$310. Events – Mobile Food Vendor public land trading fee: $360/day (incl. GST) or $1,210/week (incl. GST) — this is a separate public land fee, not part of the annual registration. Pre-Commencement and Final Inspection: $370 (incl. GST). Temporary Food Stall Inspection: $65 (GST-free). Food Handlers Course: $120 (incl. GST). Improvement Notice (Food Act): $565 (REG = prescribed fee). Public Health Regulation 2022 cl.97 — improvement notice/prohibition order: $665 (regulated system) or $309 (other cases). Annual permit required, valid 1 July to 30 June — new permit form must be submitted every year (PDF on Council website). ON PUBLIC ROADS: only mobile ice cream vendors permitted. ON PUBLIC LAND (parks, reserves): only at Council-approved events such as sporting club events or community markets — prior authorisation from event organiser/market operator also required. NOT general street trading. PRIVATE COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL LAND: permitted with owner consent for short periods. If truck is based in Sutherland Shire: must register with Council and arrange annual EHO inspection. If registered with another council: can operate with proof of registration.
