FEE STRUCTURE (2026-27, confirmed from Ku-ring-gai Council Fees & Charges 2026-27): No dedicated MFV annual registration/approval fee — standard Food Business Annual Administration charge applies to all food businesses including mobile vendors. ANNUAL ADMIN (GST-free, does not apply to non-profit community groups): Up to and including 5 FTE food handlers: $151/yr. More than 5 FTE food handlers: $279/yr. Virtually all mobile vendors pay $151. INSPECTION FEES (GST-free): Food business inspection: $292 (first hour) + $142/hr after first hour. Temporary food vendors at events: $292/stall or mobile vehicle. Premises/regulated activities inspection: $292 (first hour) + $140/hr after. Fit-out inspection: $348. P&C school canteens: $157/hr. Non-profit community group food outlet: $48/inspection. NOTICES (GST-free): Improvement Notice (Food Act): $565. Certificate of Clearance (Food Act): $500. COUNCIL-MANAGED EVENT STALLS (incl. GST, venue hire — not a registration fee): Commercial stall 2.4mx2.4m: $80-$400. Commercial stall 3mx3m: $110-$600. Oversize/non-standard: $150-$1,100. Community stall 2.4mx2.4m: $125. Private food business space only: $150-$1,100. Entry fee Council-run event: $5-$200. NOTE: S68 roadside approval process exists per Council website but no fixed application fee appears in the 2026-27 fees schedule — confirm current approval fee with Council on 02 9424 0000. CRITICAL RESTRICTIONS (confirmed from Council website): ROADSIDE VANS are LOW-RISK ONLY — restricted to pre-packaged food, hot and cold drinks, ice cream. Cooking on-site not permitted from roadside. Additional restrictions: local roads only; max 30 minutes per location; not within 200m of a school; not within 400m of any food shop; 7am-7pm only; tobacco/alcohol prohibited. PLI minimum $20M.
