What you need to know

LIFETIME TFP/MFV PERMIT — no annual renewal unless conditions breached. No SOT requirement. FEE STRUCTURE (2026-27, confirmed from Council fees schedule): Lifetime TFP/MFV permit: $145 (one-off). Annual inspection fee: $115/year for MFVs residing within the Georges River LGA — charged separately each year. Re-issue of permit (change of details): $62. Note: General food premises fees (annual admin $135, notification $60, inspection $230/hr) apply to fixed food premises — NOT to mobile food vending vehicles, which use the Temporary Food Premises (TFP) rate. Charities, not-for-profits, and P&C-run school canteens exempt from all Food Premises fees. Apply online at georgesriver.nsw.gov.au at least 28 days before first trading day. After submitting, an invoice is emailed — must be paid within 7 days or application is cancelled (if paid before 5 working days, full refund available if withdrawn). Once payment received, EHO assesses application (up to 28 days). Trading on public land (parks, roads) requires SEPARATE Section 68 approval. Previous council inspection reports accepted if within 12 months. Approved businesses listed publicly on Council website (can opt out of showing contact details by emailing ehadmin@georgesriver.nsw.gov.au).
