IMPORTANT — FEE FIGURES ARE FROM A 1 JULY 2025 SCHEDULE AND TWO SOURCES DISAGREE. Re-checked August 2026: the Environmental Health Fees and Charges PDF linked from the Council website is still the version effective 1 July 2025, and no 2026-27 environmental health schedule had been published as at August 2026 (Council adopted its 2026/27 Annual Budget on 7 July 2026). ABLIS publishes a materially different structure for this council — registration $75, notification $50, plus risk-based inspection fees (low $150 / medium $300 / high $400) — which does not reconcile with the Council PDF. Also note the Council website states that once registered, a food business is charged ONGOING ANNUAL FEES, so the one-off framing below may understate your real cost. Confirm before budgeting: (08) 9205 8555 or environmentalhealth@stirling.wa.gov.au. FEES (per Council PDF, effective 1 July 2025): Food business registration — High risk: $450, Medium risk: $300, Low risk: $150. Notification fee: $100. All GST-exempt. WA registration itself does not expire — it remains valid until the business is sold or closes — but annual charges are levied separately. EHO conducts routine assessments on a risk/performance basis (mostly unannounced). IMPORTANT — PUBLIC LAND TRADING: As of August 2026, City of Stirling still does NOT have a permanent public location mobile food trading program. The official Guide for Temporary Food Vendors (updated August 2025) explicitly states: "Permanent public locations – currently unable to be approved." Despite an anticipated end-of-2025 council consideration, no new policy has been enacted as of the latest 2026 council records. Vendors can ONLY trade at pre-approved events and markets via a Temporary Food Vendor Permit to Provide Food at Events (apply at least 2 weeks prior to environmentalhealth@stirling.wa.gov.au). Check stirling.wa.gov.au for any future policy update. Private land: Development/Planning approval required. EHO inspection required before trading commences — scaled floor/sectional plans showing all fixtures, walls, floors, ventilation, water supply, wastewater, toilets, mechanical ventilation, grease traps and bin storage required upfront.
