What you need to know

FEES (confirmed from PAE website, July 2026): Annual permit $1,229.70 or monthly $123.50. All fees GST-exempt (statutory charge). DESIGNATED SITES: 6 pre-approved locations across the PAE LGA — view the interactive map at cityofpae.sa.gov.au/services/apply-for-permit/mobile-food. No trading outside designated sites. Vehicle must be self-contained (no additional infrastructure in public space). Advertising only on vehicle — no external signs in public space. Vehicle must be in good repair. APPLICATION: Download paper form from council website or apply in person. Application assessed against Mobile Food Vendor Guidelines. Processed within 7 working days. You must also check in via the council's online check-in tool each day you trade. FOOD NOTIFICATION: SA Food Business Notification required (notify the council where your vehicle is based — this may or may not be PAE). Contact PAE: 8405 6600 / service@cityofpae.sa.gov.au.
